Professional Experience
Charlie King is Director of Financial Reporting for the Financial Advisory Services at Willis Group Consulting (WGC). A CPA with over 25 years of business experience, Mr. King has held positions throughout the energy and manufacturing industries, including 3 years at Ernst & Young.
Prior to WGC, Mr. King was the Assistant Controller of a multi-state wholesale distribution company. He also spent over a decade as Controller for a mid-sized public midstream and E&P company located in Denver and assisted in its equity sale. After its acquisition, Mr. King moved to Houston to become the Internal Controls Manager and Financial Reporting Manager for one of the world’s largest independent E&P companies. In 2008, Mr. King joined a financial advisory firm and led teams devoted to successful IPO efforts, MLP creation, and pre-IPO corporate alignment.
Mr. King has provided technical GAAP and IFRS research and guidance, as well as managerial and operational accounting guidance, to companies throughout many industries.
